2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect or process the following information.
2.1 Location Information
If you grant location permission, the App may access your device’s precise or approximate location to:
show your current position on a map;
guide you along a selected driving-test practice route;
provide navigation and route-progress information; and
improve the operation and safety of location-based features.
Location permission is optional, but some route and navigation features may not work without it.
The App is intended to access location only when you use a feature that requires it. We do not use your location for targeted advertising or sell your location information.
Unless expressly stated otherwise within the App, location information used for navigation is processed on your device or through the applicable mapping service and is not retained by us as a historical record of your journeys.
2.2 Device and Technical Information
The App or service providers used by the App may collect limited technical information, including:
device type and operating-system version;
App version;
language and regional settings;
IP address;
device or installation identifiers;
crash reports;
diagnostic information; and
information about App performance and feature usage.
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the App.
2.3 Purchase Information
If you purchase the App, an in-app product or a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play.
We do not receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account details. We may receive limited transaction information, such as:
the product or subscription purchased;
transaction status;
purchase date;
subscription status; and
an App Store or Google Play transaction identifier.
This information may be used to verify purchases, restore access and provide customer support.
2.4 Information You Provide to Us
If you contact us, we may collect:
your name;
email address or telephone number;
the contents of your enquiry;
screenshots or technical information you provide; and
other information you voluntarily send to us.
2.5 Account Information
The App does not currently require users to create an account with us.
If account functionality is introduced in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate account and data-deletion controls before collecting account information.
3. How We Collect Information
We may collect information:
directly from you when you contact us;
automatically when you use the App;
through permissions granted on your device;
through Apple, Google or mapping-service interfaces;
from analytics and crash-reporting providers used in the App; and
where otherwise authorised or required by law.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
provide maps, routes and navigation features;
display your position and route progress;
operate, maintain and improve the App;
verify purchases and restore paid features;
investigate technical problems and crashes;
protect the App against misuse, fraud and security threats;
respond to enquiries and support requests;
comply with legal obligations; and
establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose unless we obtain consent or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
5. Location Permissions and Your Choices
You control whether the App may access your location through your device settings.
You may withdraw location permission at any time:
on iOS, through Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services; or
on Android, through Settings > Location or Permission Manager.
The exact menu names may vary by device and operating-system version.
Withdrawing permission will stop future location access but may prevent maps, live route guidance and related features from operating properly.
The App is not intended to track users continuously when they are not using a location-based feature. It does not use location information for advertising.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on services supplied by third parties, including:
Apple App Store;
Google Play;
Apple Maps, Google Maps or another mapping provider;
hosting and content-delivery providers;
analytics providers; and
crash-reporting and diagnostic providers.
These providers may process limited information on our behalf or independently under their own privacy policies.
We require service providers acting on our behalf to use information only for authorised purposes and to apply appropriate privacy and security safeguards. However, services independently controlled by Apple, Google or another provider are also governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
7. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information:
to technology providers that help us operate and support the App;
to Apple or Google for purchases, subscriptions and platform services;
to mapping providers where required to provide route functionality;
to professional advisers, insurers or auditors;
to regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies or government authorities where required or authorised by law;
in connection with a genuine sale, merger or transfer of our business; or
with your consent.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
8. Overseas Processing
Some platform, mapping, hosting, analytics or technical service providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which those providers operate.
Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas disclosures are handled consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, unless an exception under the law applies.
9. Data Storage and Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the App:
we do not retain a history of your precise driving locations on our own servers;
customer-support correspondence may be retained while required to respond to the enquiry and maintain reasonable business records;
purchase records may be retained while required to verify access, manage disputes and comply with financial or legal requirements; and
technical or diagnostic information may be retained in accordance with the applicable service provider’s retention settings.
When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
These measures may include access controls, secure communications and restrictions on access to business systems.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Data Breaches
Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, we will assess suspected data breaches and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner when required by law.
12. Access, Correction and Deletion Requests
You may contact us to:
request access to personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated information;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or
request deletion of information that we are not legally required to retain.
Because the App does not currently require an account and we do not ordinarily retain location histories, we may hold little or no information that can be linked to a particular user.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain any lawful reason why a request cannot be completed.
Requests may be sent to TestRouteExpertsGroup@gmail.com.
13. Children and Young Users
The App is designed for learner drivers and driving-test preparation. It is not directed to children under 13.
Users under 18 should use the App with the knowledge and supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible driving supervisor.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
14. Marketing Communications
We will not send direct-marketing communications unless you have consented or the communication is otherwise permitted by law.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us. We may still send essential transactional or service-related communications.
15. Third-Party Links
The App or our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices. You should review the privacy policy of each third-party service you use.
16. Privacy Complaints
If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please contact us:
Email: TestRouteExpertsGroup@gmail.com
Telephone: +61 444 596 112
Address: 191/1 Thallon Street, Carlingford NSW 2118, Australia
Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate the matter. We aim to acknowledge a complaint promptly and provide a response within 30 days where reasonably practicable.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through https://www.oaic.gov.au.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our App, technology, legal obligations or information-handling practices change.
The latest version will be made available through the App or at:

The effective date at the beginning of the Policy indicates when it was last updated.
